Geodesy and Geoinformatics at HafenCity University Hamburg
We are the student council of Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the HafenCity University Hamburg.
As the student council at HafenCity University, which was founded in 2006 and moved to its freshly built new building in the HafenCity-Quarter near Elbe-river in 2014, we are responsible for representing the geodesy students interests at our university. Furthermore, we are active members of the Konferenz der GeodäsieStudierenden (KonGeoS) and IGSO to exchange thoughts and ideas with fellow geodesy students from the german speaking and non-german speaking world. Because our university is one of only a few non military universities where it is possible to study Hydrography as a M.Sc.-specialisation our student body is very diverse in terms of nationalities.
In 2020 we organised the KonGeoS-Meeting, which was held online due to COVID, but still was considered a success. After attending the online IGSM 2021 which was organised by Geodesy students from the Leibniz University Hannover, we are pleased to cooperate with them for the organisation of the 2022 International Geodetic Student Meeting.
